Dr. med. habil. Carl Langemeyer〔In German a Doctor of Medicine is abbreviated as Dr. med. (''Doctor medicinae''). The habilitation, abbreviated as habil., can be obtained after a research doctorate. It is the highest academic qualification a scholar can achieve by his or her own pursuit in Germany.〕 (6 August 1907 – 25 July 1982) was a highly decorated Oberstabsarzt in the Fallschirmjäger during World War II. He was also a recipient of the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross.
